Product & Care Info
Our belts are made with the best quality materials we can find. Many of these are sourced from the same place in Ohio from which Rebecca's father sourced his original hardware. Samples are made in Cleveland by her dad and all production is done by hand in New York City’s garment district. We are continuously searching for the most unique and well made parts and strive to make our brand as sustainably responsible as we can.
Storing your belt:
Your belt is built to last and made to be worn as much as possible, however, if you do need to store it, it is best to hang it by the buckle or coil it loosely in your R. Turbow Leather belt bag and keep it in a dark place away from excessive cold or heat.
Cleaning your belt:
If your belt scuffs or marks, clean it lightly with water and a soft cotton or flannel cloth. Wipe it down, let it air dry, and if you feel a leather conditioner or cleaner is needed, please email us for recommendations, with the exact issue you're having. As well, we can accommodate special cleaning needs, and repairs, although unlikely, if ever needed.
Hardware Care:
Solid brass can easily tarnish, especially if left out and uncovered for long periods of time without being worn, and will also tarnish with regular wear. Use the Sunshine Polishing cloth included with your belt, unless you like a more antique brass look, to keep it shiny and polished. If extra polishing is ever needed, please contact us.
Your silver hardware will not tarnish the same way brass will, but it may also need a little polish from time to time, and can generally be done with a polishing cloth or any soft cotton cloth.
