All of our belts are gender neutral. To help you in choosing the correct size we use a standard US jeans size guide for men and women, not traditional belt sizing, which can be confusing and inconsistent.

Use the below chart for your numbered jeans size, as well, we’ve included the corresponding general letter size, in case you are unsure of your jeans size. For the perfect fitting belt, choose your actual jeans size. For example, if you wear a size 31 or 32, we recommend you order our belt size 31-32.

If you're on the cusp of a size, we advise to choose the smaller size, rather than bigger, as belts can naturally stretch about one hole size over time. For a looser fitting belt, or to wear your belt especially low waist, go up at least one size bigger.

To be able to wear your belt both high and low waist, go up at least one size bigger and request to add holes to your belt. You may also want to add holes to your belt if you’d like to be able to wear it with a dress, or extra high across your real waist, or if you have a very small waist, in relation to your hips.

There are 2" in between sizes and 1" in between belt holes. You can add holes at 2 hole increments, which will be a total of either, 7, 9, 11, or up to 13 holes, so If you add 2 extra holes to your belt, you are essentially adding the option of having it one size smaller. Add a note when ordering of the total number of holes you would like.

If you are still unsure and would like to figure out your size based on a belt you already own, send us a message with the measurement of that belt. Standard belts have 5 holes, and you generally want to be in the middle at hole 3. Send us the measurement from where the leather folds around at the tongue of the buckle, to the middle hole, or to whatever hole you have been wearing it on.

All of our belts come with one attached belt keeper near the buckle, and include one extra loose belt keeper, which can be used to hold down any extra belt overhang. As you are putting on your belt, the extra keeper would go on in between the 1st and 2nd belt loop. You can purchase extra loose keepers on our site.

Our belts are made with the best quality materials we can find. Many of these are sourced from the same place in Ohio from which Rebecca's father sourced his original hardware. Samples are made in Cleveland by her dad and all production is done by hand in New York City’s garment district. We are continuously searching for the most unique and well made parts and strive to make our brand as sustainably responsible as we can.

Storing your belt:

Your belt is built to last and made to be worn as much as possible, however, if you do need to store it, it is best to hang it by the buckle or coil it loosely in your R. Turbow Leather belt bag and keep it in a dark place away from excessive cold or heat.

Cleaning your belt:

If your belt scuffs or marks, clean it lightly with water and a soft cotton or flannel cloth. Wipe it down, let it air dry, and if you feel a leather conditioner or cleaner is needed, please email us for recommendations, with the exact issue you're having. As well, we can accommodate special cleaning needs, and repairs, although unlikely, if ever needed.

Hardware Care:

Solid brass can easily tarnish, especially if left out and uncovered for long periods of time without being worn, and will also tarnish with regular wear. Use the Sunshine Polishing cloth included with your belt, unless you like a more antique brass look, to keep it shiny and polished. If extra polishing is ever needed, please contact us.

Your silver hardware will not tarnish the same way brass will, but it may also need a little polish from time to time, and can generally be done with a polishing cloth or any soft cotton cloth.
